ArmNet Awards 2010 Announces Winners

International jury’s selection of best Armenian websites of the year in 7 categories were announced. A special award announced by Orange mobile operator.
The ArmNet Awards 2010 Grand Prize was handed to the website of prominent Armenian Artist, Director Sergey Parajanov’s museum. The Jury decided, that the website can best promote Armenian culture abroad. The same website also awarded a prize in the “Best Techical Implementation” category.
The website of Boghossian Gardens in Yerevan designed by Zoom Graphics, was named winner in the “Design and convenience” category.
Financial portal Rate.am was awarded the prize in the “Progess of Year” category.
“Best Innovation” prize was awarded to the E-gov website.
One of my all time favorite websites, Armcomdy.com, received the well deserved award in the “Best Content” category for its fresh approach to publicly relevant issues and humorous, but also problem based c overage of them. The jury took not of the fact, that Armcomedy.com is one of the most frequently cited and linked-to websites apart from online news portals.
The special prize of Orange mobile operator, one of the organizers and sponsors of the event, was handed to the mobile version of “Am+” TV’s website.
A special prize was also handed to the Freenet.am portal, for its input in the development of Armenian internet section.
ArmNet Awards 2010 jury consisted of experts from Armenia, as well as from abroad, more specifically, social networks Vkontakte, Rutube video sharing service, Opera Software, Microsoft, RAEC.
