Orange enters the new 2011 year with half a million customers

Mobile operator Orange Armenia has announced, that it is concluding its first year of operations in Armenia with 500,000 active customers.

Bruno Duthoit, Orange Armenia CEO, said: «2010 was a very important year for us: this was the first full year of operations. The year of 2010 was a year of a lot of innovations, new offers, extension of the coverage, construction of the customer base and investments. We are happy and proud of these achievements that are the result of the devoted and enthusiastic work of the whole Orange team. We thank all our customers who have trusted us and are with us, in the same time we want to ensure that Orange will continue being their caring friend».

VivaCell-MTS Launches 4G Test Network in Armenia

VivaCell-MTS, Armenia's largest mobile operator announced the commercial test-launch of 4G LTE network in Yerevan more than a month after Orange Armenia staged a public demonstration in the Armenian capital.

State of the Mobile Web, October 2010

Armenia's favorite mobile browser is Opera Mini. Opera Software, the company behind it, has published its annual State of the Mobile Web report. Here are some itneresting findings realted to Armenia.

• Page-view growth since October 2009: 176.9 %
• Unique-user growth since October 2009: 39.6 %
• Data transfer growth since October 2009: 190.7 %
• Page views per user: 1,380
• Data transferred per user (MB): 12
• Data transferred per page view (KB): 9
