Facebook has become the 3rd largest website in the world according to new metrics from comScore. It has finally passed Yahoo for third place, pulling in 648 million unique visitors for November 2010 versus Yahoo's 630 million, PC Mag says.
Only Microsoft, with 869 million unique visitors, and Google, with 970 million, stand on Facebook's way at this point. Yahoo drops down to fourth, though that should really come as little surprise--Facebook has been chipping away at the search giant for some time now.
But when it comes to getting people to watch online videos from media sites Facebook is No 2, TechChurch reports. Google remains the largest source of outside traffic, but Facebook has passed Bing and Yahoo according to a report on Online Video & The Media Industry.
In Armenia popularity of Facebook is growing, and Facebook closes the year 2010 with almost 105.000 users from Armenia.

The US air force has blocked employees from accessing the websites of the Guardian, the New York Times and other news organisations carrying the WikiLeaks US embassy cables.
At least 25 sites that have posted WikiLeaks files had been barred, said Major Toni Tones of the US air force's space command in Colorado. Tones said the action was taken in accordance with a policy that "routinely blocks air force network access to websites hosting inappropriate materials".
Staff who attempt to access the blocked sites instead see an on-screen message saying: "Access denied. Internet usage is logged and monitored."
While the US defence department has issued orders against visiting WikiLeaks or downloading classified documents from the site, it has not ordered a blanket ban on visiting news organisations reporting on the contents of the classified cables. The army, navy and marines have not sought to block access to any websites.
The air force's move follows instructions by the government that staff should not access the cables, with the Library of Congress instituting a bar on accessing WikiLeaks's website.
One member of the US armed forces could be celebrated for his part in the WikiLeaks drama. Berkeley city council is considering a resolution in support Bradley Manning, the army private accused of releasing the documents.

More than 70% of British adults check social network sites before kissing Good night and turning the lights off. Furthermore, according to a study commissioned by hotel giant Travelodge shows that 18% of them send a daily night-time tweet to their followers. The average amount of time spent on social networks while between the sheets is 16 minutes.
The research also found that as well as social networking, a quarter of Britons do their weekly grocery shopping between the sheets. One in 10 adults pays the bills online before nodding off and 35% of people catch up on the latest celebrity gossip. It also revealed that 84% of adults use their mobile phone to wake themselves up in the mornings.
The survey involved 6,000 adults in the UK. Experts have warned the online activity performed from bed is affecting people’s sleep.
“Being exposed to bright light from computer and mobile phone screens while in bed completely delays the brain and body’s ability to get to sleep. As a result, people are not able to get to sleep as quickly as they should and aren’t getting the required amount of sleep they need each night”, sleep specialist Dr Michael Hastings told Press Association.
The specialists advice to turn off the gadgets at night and turn to good old books for a decent sleep.
